Krishna ke Braj ke sawaiya

जामा बन्यो जरीतार को सुन्दर, लाल हैं बन्द और जर्द किनारी ।
झालरदार बन्यो पटुका, मोतिन की छबि लागत प्यारी ॥
जैसी ये चाल चलैं ब्रजराज, अहो बलिहारी है मौज तिहारी ।
देखत नैनन ताकि रही झुकि, झाँकी झरोखन बाँके बिहारी ॥

I first heard this sawaiya in a Raslila performance by Sri Hargovind ji’s group (from Vrindavan) in Chowk, Lucknow.

Sawaiya is kind of verse, written in the Bhakti period, (some five centuries or so ago) by Braj poets such as Surdas, Raskhan and others.

All the sawaiyas here are written in praise of Srimad Kunjviharine Banke Bihari ji of Vrindavan.
