Jhoolan song, kunjan me dou aavat bhhejat

This is a rain song (Jhoolan) from Vrindavan, depicting the pastimes of Sri Radha Krishna.

JhoOlan bhajan lyrics: kunjan me dou aavat bheejat

kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

1.

jyon jyon boond parat choonar par,
tyon tyon hari ur laavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

As the raindrops fall on Radha’s shawl, Hari hugs her closer to himself.

2.

adhik jhankor hot meghan kee,
drum taru chhin chhin gaavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

The clouds are busy and the plants and trees are singing as they receive the raindrops.

3.

ve hansi ot karat peetaambar,
ve chunaree un uthaavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

Radha laughs and takes refuge in Krishna’s garment – the silk peetambar, and Krishna takes Radha’s shawl.

4.

bheege raag raaginee dou,
bheege tan chhavi paavan, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

All ragas and raaginis, musical notes are bathing in the rain. The divine couple is also wet in the rain.

5.

lai muralee kar mand ghor svar,
raag malhaar bajaavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

Krishna plays raga Malhar on his flute.

6.

taise hee mor kokilaa bolat,
adhik pavan ghan bhaavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

In response, peacocks and cuckoos sing along. The playful breeze is welcome to the clouds.

7.

sooradaas hari milan paraspar,
preet adhik upajaavat, aavat
kunjan me dou aavat bheejat...

Surdas says the meeting of Sri Radha and Krishna makes me joyful.
