Roadmaps to joy!

Let none regret that they were difficult to convince

Let none regret that they were difficult to convince! I fought my Master for six years with the result that I know every inch of the way! Every inch of the way!

And so, you see my devotion is the dog's devotion. I have been wrong so often and he has always been right, and now I trust his judgment blindly.

Super consciousness is God

Jesus the Christ

The Super consciousness is God, is beyond speech, beyond thought, beyond consciousness… There are three states brutality (Tamas), Humanity (Rajas), and divinity (Sattva). Those attaining the highest state simply are. Duty dies there; only love and as a magnet draw others to them. This is freedom. No more you do moral acts, but whatever you do is moral. The Brahmavit (knower of God) is higher than all gods. The angels came to worship Jesus when he had conquered delusion and he said ‘Get thee behind me Satan’ None can help a Brahmavit, the universe itself bows down before him. His every desire is fulfilled, his spirit purifies others; therefore worship the Brahmavit if you wish to attain the highest. When we have the three great ‘gifts of God’, a human body. intense desire to be free and help of a great soul to show us the way then liberation is certain for us. Mukti is ours.

Benefits of Truth

Patanjali Yoga Sutra

II.36.      SATYA-PRATISTHAYAM KRIYA-PHALASRAYATVAM.

Truth

By the establishment of truthfulness the Yogi gets the power of attaining for himself and others the fruits of work without the works.

When this power of truth will be established with you, then even in dream you will never tell an untruth. You will be true in thought, word, and deed. Whatever you say will be truth. You may say to a man, "Be blessed," and that man will be blessed. If a man is diseased, and you say to him, "Be thou cured," he will be cured immediately.

Many Happy Returns by Swami Vivekananda

Many Happy Returns

The Mother's heart, the hero's will,
The softest flowers' sweetest feel;
The charm and force that ever sway
The altar-fire's flaming play;
The strength that leads, in love obeys;
Far-reaching dreams, and patient ways,
Eternal faith in Self, in all,
The light Divine in great, in small;
All these and more than I could see,
Today may "Mother" grant to thee!

Prophecies about India and the world by Swami Vivekananda

India

Swami ji often used to tell his disciples about the past glories of India, but at the same time he said that India in the future would be even greater. One day at the Belur Math he said to them. “ Believe me, I have had a vision in which I saw clearly what would happen to India in the coming four or five centuries.”

On another occasion he made a series of remarkable predictions. He said : “India will be free in another fifty years and freedom will come in an unusual way. A great war will flare up within twenty years, and if the Western nations do not give up their stark materialism, another world war is inevitable.” Swami ji also prophesized that “India, when independent, will embrace the materialism of the West and attain material prosperity to such an extent that it will surpass its past records in that field” He also foretold that “Countries such as America would become increasingly spiritual because they will have realized from the height of material prosperity the simple truth that gross materialism cannot give eternal peace.”

Spirit of India

Classic View of Taj Mahal, Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India

The Indian race never stood for wealth. Although they acquired immense wealth. Perhaps more than any other nation ever acquired, yet the nation did not stand for wealth. It was a powerful race for ages, yet we find that nation never stood for power, never went out of the country to conquer. Quite content within their own boundaries, never fought anybody. The Indian nation never stood for imperial glory. Wealth and power, then, were not the ideals of the race. What then? That nation, among all the children of men has believed and believed intensely, that this life is not real. The real is God; and they must cling on to God through thick and thin.

The Indian nation never will be a powerful, conquering people – never. They will never be a great political power; that is not their business, that is not the note India has to play in the great harmony of nations. But what has she to play? God, and God alone.
